Plain and simple

Women make up half of the American workforce, but they still only earn an average of 78 cents for every $1 earned by men.
This is wrong -- plain and simple.
Recently, the Supreme Court ruled that female employees can't band together to fight against discrimination and demand equal pay. This is a real setback for all women and the struggle for full equality.
It's more important than ever for Congress to step up and pass the Paycheck Fairness Act.
The Paycheck Fairness Act would provide justice to victims of gender discrimination, protect employees who share information about their salary with their co-workers, and require employers to prove that wage discrepancies are based on work performance and not on a person's gender.
This bill is a crucial step toward ending the injustice and discrimination women experience every day in the workplace.
But now we need to build strong support from the grassroots -- including friends like you -- to get this crucial legislation passed. Will you stand with us?
Thanks for joining us in the fight to level the playing field and end pay discrimination.
