Tell President Bush to Fight Global Warming!
(04/18/2008)
Recently, President Bush delivered what was billed as a major speech on global warming. But rather than staking out a set of ambitious goals for America to strive for, the President argued that the United States should do nothing about global warming until 2025.
That's why I'm going to deliver a petition to the White House later this month, demanding that President Bush join the fight against global warming. And I want your name on it.

Co-sponsor my bill to grant California's greenhouse gas emissions waiver!
(02/29/2008)
Administrator Stephen Johnson clearly overruled the unanimous recommendations of his legal and technical staff who advised him to grant California's waiver request to regulate greenhouse gas emissions -- putting partisan politics ahead of science, the law, and the health & safety of the American people.
Ultimately, I'm convinced that Administrator Johnson's decision will be overturned -- either by the next President or the courts. But we can't afford to wait that long.

Tell EPA Administrator Johnson to stop censoring documents!
(01/23/2008)
The Senate Environment & Public Works Committee demanded that EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson explain his decision to reject an effort by California and 18 states to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fight global warming. 11 days past its deadline, the EPA finally turned over some documents -- but provided heavily redacted and censored pages rather than the facts we deserve.
Demand that he produce full, complete, and uncensored documents explaining his decision to block 19 states from fighting global warming now

Tell EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson to explain why he denied California's waiver request!
(01/10/2008)
Recently, I chaired a Senate Environment and Public Works Committee field hearing in Los Angeles to investigate why the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) denied a request from California to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from automobiles.
Despite our invitation, EPA Administrator Johnson refused to attend the hearing and explain why he denied California's common-sense waiver request. He has also failed to respond to the Committee's demand that the EPA release all documents pertaining to the agency's decision.

Tell EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson to grant California's waiver
(12/27/2007)
EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson recently announced that he planned to stand in the way of our fight against global warming by denying California's common-sense waiver. Email EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson now -- and urge him to reverse his decision on California's common-sense waiver request so 150 million Americans can fight global warming!

Urge President Bush to Come Clean on the CDC's Global Warming Report!
(10/26/2007)
Recently, it was reported that the Bush Administration censored a climate change report by the Director of the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Email President Bush and urge him to tell the whole story about how the report was censored and who was involved today!
